Farmhouse Finds From Target

I guess it is kind of hard to think about spring right now, when we are smack dab in the dead of winter.

But, right or wrong, that is exactly where my mind is!  I guess I can blame it on being a DIY blogger and needing to have my home all spring ready by early March.

But, let's be real, I am always dreaming of the longer, warmer days of spring waaay before I actually should.

In my spring fever, i was browsing the Target website for some simple items that could most certainly freshen up the home, when winter finally decides to make an exit.

I'm never a huge seasonal decorator.  I don't have totes in the basement full of pastels for spring or orange and brown for fall.  I like to just add some natural elements that speak to what's going on outside: fresh flowers in the spring, wildflowers in the summer, pumpkins in the fall and greenery all winter long.

All of the items on this list would be perfect to add a little freshness and life this spring without going overboard.

I definitely prefer antique ironstone over the newer white pitchers, but I have always been drawn to this crisp white one from Target.  It would look so beautiful as a centerpiece, on a shelf or in a windowsill, with some fresh cut daffodils, in early Spring.

I love the simplicity of a bright green preserved boxwood wreath.  They really look pretty year round, but the fresh color most reminds me of Spring.

As soon as I saw this little throw blanket, I knew I would have to add it to the list!  I'm a sucker for stripes and I have also been really loving tassels lately.  It looks light enough to snuggle up with in the warmer Spring months.

This was the first time I saw this lamp at Target.  The simple shape and color are perfect for all seasons.  I thought it would be a nice piece to add to a side table or night stand this Spring.

I pretty much want to buy this Smith and Hawken wicker basket every time I am at Target. I love the light colored wicker and big weave.

I think it would look beautiful in the living room with a light toss blanket this spring, or just for a more beautiful way to tote your laundry around.

I love the soft little detail around the edges of this pillow.  The light gray color is so beautiful too.

I think these tool boxes would look beautiful as a centerpiece or herb planter this spring.

A couple of these topiaries would look so pretty on a mantel, shelf or windowsill.  It has the perfect spring color.

This natural fiber runner would look pretty down a farmhouse table or kitchen island this spring, especially with that toolbox herb planter sitting right in the middle!

Well I hope I have you dreaming about spring now, and all the simple ways you can add freshness to your home in the upcoming warmer months!
