Farmhouse Girls Bedroom

Hello friends! I hope this post finds you well. I have been working on making a few small changes to my girls' room. Its been a slow process, and I have so much more I want to do, but if I waited until a room was completely done before sharing it, you may never see it. Everything around here is a work in progress. I'm always getting new ideas and switching things up, so this is where I am with this room today.

I used my new Morpholio mood board app to put together color, patterns and textures. I think I could get addicted to this app!

I made the triangular bunting with seven different fabrics I ordered online. Most are by fabric designer, Amy Butler. I repainted their dresser in Tidewater by Sherwin Williams.

To make the room a little more fun, I added a slide to the bunk beds and painted the back of the closet door with chalkboard paint. To do that, I made the rectangular shape with painter's tape and then just painted inside the tape. When I removed it I had nice crisp lines, making it look like a framed chalkboard.

I found this old light fixture at a resale shop. I plan to hang it over a desk that my husband's grandpa built.

I also plan to add new hardware to the closet door and maybe a few buffalo check throw pillows to their bed.

Lets face it, this room normally has books and crayons scattered all over the floor and forts that cover a majority of the room.

Thanks for stopping by and following along!
