When my sister and her family toured a beautiful split level home on 5 acres, the outdoor space was ultimately the deciding factor. It sits on a hill, with a view that allows you to see for 10 miles. The house also included a deck and enclosed patio area that sits right off the kitchen.

I could totally imagine their family eating dinner with the beautiful view and gentle breeze, but without the threat of bugs and weather.
Since they didn’t have a room like this in their last house, they had no furniture to fill it with.
I partnered up with Walmart Home to give the space a bright and cheerful makeover, with plenty of seating and a space for dining al fresco!
Designing this space only took an evening of browsing Walmart Home’s summer collection. With the bright yellows, greens, and blues it was easy to get the vibe I was going for. I wanted furniture that can stand up to the wear and tear of 5 kids, but also beautiful enough to make this space cheerful.
I brought in the Better Homes & Gardens Roxbury 3 Piece Cushion Rocking Chair Set, Better Homes & Gardens Woven Tufted Decorative Lumbar Pillow, Mainstays Aqua Dinnerware Set, and the Mainstays Blue Global Medallion Indoor Outdoor Area Rug.
I’m so happy with the way this room turned out! I can’t wait until they invite us over for dinner. Wink wink.
Since they moved in only four days ago, this makeover came just in time for a little housewarming gift!

I hope that you enjoyed this makeover, and found some inspiration to bring some bright colors to your patio this season!

Just beautiful. I have a sunroom, but all windows that don’t open. So, unfortunately, the breeze does not get in. We are thinking of screening the room. It looks like this room is screened. How does it fair during windy rainy weather that might blow in? Thanks for your great decorating ideas!
