- 1 loaf sourdough French bread
- 1/2 cup butter softened
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 cloves minced garlic
- 3 tablespoons chopped parsley
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Prepare and bake sourdough French bread recipe.
Allow the bread to cool.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
In a small bowl, add softened butter.
Add olive oil, salt, minced garlic (highly recommend a garlic press), and parsley. Mix together until well combined.
Slice the sourdough French bread in half, lengthwise, and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Generously spread the bread with the garlic herb butter.
Sprinkle with parmesan.
Place in the oven and bake for about 10 minutes.
Slice and serve.
- Feel free to substitute homemade sourdough bread with store-bought if you’re pinched for time.
- Try other combinations of herbs.
- If you don’t have fresh herbs on hand, substitute them for dried.
