This lavender lemonade recipe is a fun twist on your classic lemonade recipe. It is made with a homemade lavender syrup lending a fresh floral flavor. It's perfect for bridal showers and brunches, or as a special treat on hot days!
In a small saucepan, combine water, honey, and lavender.
Bring to a gentle simmer, then remove from heat.
Let steep for 15 minutes.
Strain through a fine mesh sieve and discard the lavender.
Assemble the Lemonade
In a large pitcher, stir together the lavender syrup, lemon juice, water, salt, lemon slices, and ice.
Taste and adjust — add more honey for sweetness or more lemon juice for tartness. Serve chilled with a sprig of dried lavender and a slice of lemon.
Notes
Please double check amounts when using the multiplying feature in the recipe card.
Be careful to not exceed 15 minutes for steeping the lavender. Otherwise, the lavender can become bitter. If you prefer a stronger lavender taste, you can always add more lavender blossoms.
Adjust the ingredient amounts based on your preferences. Play with the ratio of sugar for the right amount of sweetness for your taste. If you want only a slight lavender flavor, cut down on the amount of lavender.
When choosing lemons for your fresh lemonade, look for ones that are large, firm and have a bright color to get a juicier lemon.
After mixing, taste the lemonade and adjust with extra lemon juice (for more tang) or honey (for more sweetness).
Swap some or all of the water for sparkling water just before serving for a fizzy twist.
Add a splash of gin or vodka for an easy cocktail version.
