In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with all spices and seasonings. Using your hands, mix thoroughly until evenly incorporated.
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each into a ball.
Gently flatten into round patties.
Heat a skillet over medium-low heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until fully cooked through. Use lower heat to prevent burning, as the sugar in the seasoning can cause the sausage to brown quickly. Serve with a drizzle of maple syrup.
Notes
For evenly sized patties, you can weigh the mixture before shaping. The total mixture weighs about 470 grams. Divide it into 4 portions of approximately 120 grams each, then form into patties.
Cook ground beef sausage to an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit (71 degrees Celsius).
Low heat is best. Breakfast sausage often contains sugar or maple syrup, which can cause it to brown or burn quickly. Medium-low heat helps it cook through evenly.
Rest before serving. Let cooked patties rest for 1–2 minutes to retain juices.
