Ingredients

Peaches, cream and other ingredients in bowls on a white marble counter top.

Peaches – Only use very ripe peaches that are sweet, or the ice cream will not have much flavor. Peaches are one of those fruits that tend to lose sweetness when frozen.

Vanilla extract  – Homemade vanilla extract is simple to make from scratch and adds so much flavor to this recipe.

Lisa’s Expert Tips

  • Looking for a diary free ice cream? Try my date ice cream and add peaches for a similar result.
  • I prefer to peel the peaches for texture purposes, but if you don’t mind the texture of peach skin you can skip that step.
  • Make sure your ice cream maker bowl is fully frozen before making this recipe. This usually takes 12-24 hours.
  • When your ice cream is finished churning, it will have a soft serve consistency. You can serve it as is or let it firm up in a loaf pan in the freezer for a few hours.
  • If you still have plenty of peaches after whipping up this ice cream, make some homemade peach jelly to enjoy on a slice of my beginner’s sourdough bread.
